Last night, a 25th anniversary version of 'We Are the World' was recorded in Los Angeles at the Jim Henson Studios, drawing a new generation of music's biggest stars,
including Kanye West, Pink, Jennifer Hudson, Lil' Wayne, Jamie Foxx, Akon and the Jonas Brothers along with legendary veterans such as Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Gladys Knight, Brian Wilson and Natalie Cole. The song and video, filmed in 3-D by 'Crash' director Paul Haggis, will premiere Feb. 12 on NBC as part of the Olympic Games opening ceremonies.
Proceeds go toward Haiti earthquake relief.

What are you doing to help solve the problem. Do your church members go to the corners or the houses where the criminals and gang bangers to talk to them to change their ways. Come out of the church and spread the word instead of criticising how someone else feels they can help.

All of theses rich Black celebrities claim to want to help the Haitian people but, not one of them has adopted a Haitian child or sponsored a family. White people all over the world have stood up to give theses children a better life. Yet, not ONE Black wealthy celebrity or athlete has come foward to "put up" or "shut up"!!! All they want to do is sell records and get your money. Well, they can take this song and shove it!!!If they really want to make a difference, why not practice what you preach!!! If "we are the world", then make a difference in the lives of these children....Adopt one!!!

As you have seen the only people reported to have done any adopting are white people. Who is reporting this, white people. You or I do not know the full crux of what is going on as far as adoptions. You or I do not know who is doing anything other than what you or I did.

FORD, Did you not read? Proceeds are going toward Haiti relief..Whites and other races are also participating in this song. They are 'putting up'. You don't know who adopted who in this recent earthquake that just happened, and its really none of your business. Have you adopted? Rich or not? You have tunnel vision, blind, and carry a streak of prejudice -A prejudice is a prejudgement: i.e. a preconceived belief, opinion, or judgment made without ascertaining the facts of a case.

My heart goes out to your Mother because any real Mother will be ashamed of a child that has such views in the already harsh world that we live in. Kermit Alexander Former NFL Star adopted 5 Haitian brothers and sisters but what does it matter what his skin color is? People adopt because they can and want children and children are certainly not for every human being. So I say to you stop making a deal over skin color and make a change in a human life! God Bless!
