Two weeks ago, the 25th anniversary version of 'We Are the World' was recorded in Los Angeles at the Jim Henson Studios, drawing a new generation of music's brightest stars, including Kanye West, Pink, Jennifer Hudson, Mary Mary, Lil' Wayne, Usher, Miley Cyrus, Akon and Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx, along with legendary veterans such as Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Gladys Knight, Brian Wilson, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion and Natalie Cole.
Part of the song and video, filmed in 3-D by 'Crash' director Paul Haggis, premiered Feb. 12 on NBC as part of the Olympic Games opening ceremonies, with proceeds going toward Haiti earthquake relief.

I am 65 years young and I wish I had the strenth and energy to go to Haiti to rebuild. The services I could offer would be minimum but my contribution in cash has been forwarded. I really enjoyed the video and especially to see young and old, black and white, rap and classical musicians singing together for one cause. That's what its all about. I wish I could give each one of the artists and big HUG. God bless.

I loved the video. Although, 25 years ago we could not see it in 3D, the power of LOVE is eternal. I want to thank Qunicy Jones, Lionel Richie and all the fantastic Artists who have used their God given voices to make MICHAEL JACKSON'S vision alive and relevant in song 25 years later. I have given to Haiti and will continue to give. God Bless you all.

I didn't want to like it, but I did. Even so, I was continually flashing back and remembering the voices of the original.
The low point for me was seeing Janet pop up singing alongside her brother; it appeared she was there not to help or in some memorial to her brother, but in attempt to revive her own career.

People need to just stop!! who cares about what appeared to you. I'm happy that they added MJ alongside Janet. The entire effort was BEAUTIFUL and just leave it to that!!!!!!!!!!
