Three days before the big show, '41st Annual NAACP Image Awards' producers have announced actors Hill Harper and Anika Noni Rose as hosts of the ceremony, which will be broadcast live from Los Angeles' historic Shrine Auditorium on FOX Feb. 26 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed).
"Anika Noni Rose and Hill Harper are a part of a new generation of Hollywood that embodies the spirit of the Image Awards," said NAACP Hollywood Bureau Executive Director Vicangelo Bulluck, who serves as executive producer of the awards telecast. "Their talent and success is inspiring and adds a sophisticated glamour to the evening."
Previously announced honorees include Tyler Perry, who will receive the Chairman's Award, and Wyclef Jean, who will receive the Vanguard Award. The Lee Daniels-directed film, 'Precious: Based on the novel 'Push' by Sapphire'' garnered eight nominations, the most this year. Jay-Z, Vanessa Williams, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Mary J. Blige and Sandra Bullock also received nods for their respective projects.

Congrats and sounds like a good show. I've taken a long break from movies and tv and even music though, cause I've just been disappointed in too much of it. I've never watched 30Rock but like what I've heard of Tracy Morgan's role. I've not seen Precious but like what I've read about Monique's portrayal. I like JayZ cause he doesn't rap about nonsense. Hey, I wish you all nothing but the best and I do trust the NAACPs taste so I'll watch the show.

It’s impossible to make a movie that isn’t racist without being of one of two types:
1) all black
2) the exact proper mix of blacks, hispanics and all other races, to be determined by a specially-appointed committee that keeps up (or tries to) with the constantly-changing rules.
If a movie is all-black that's fine. If a movie is all-white it’s “racist,” and if it includes other races and they’re not portrayed as sufficiently heroic, it’s also “racist.” If you have more than one race, the whites must be portrayed as the evil-doers, the blacks must either be innocent victims and/or the heroes.
