Oprah Winfrey: New Plans for Annual After-Oscar Party 2010

The Academy Awards are a big deal for talk show maven Oprah Winfrey. Not only did she score her own Academy Award nomination in 1986 in the Best Supporting Actress category for her star-turn in 'The Color Purple,' she's also a producer on 'Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire' which is up for six Oscars this year.

Leading up to Sunday's telecast, the Mississippi native hosted her very-own one hour special, titled 'The Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special,' which aired on March 3 and found some of today's biggest Oscar winners interviewing each other instead of having sit-downs with Winfrey.

On March 8, the day after the highly-anticipated awards show, celebrating the world's biggest contributors to the film genre, Winfrey will host another Oscar-geared program.

'The Oprah Winfrey Show' will have its sixth annual 'After-Oscars Party' taking place at the historic Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. 'Oprah' remains the only other program to have the exclusive access to broadcast from the Oscar stage at the famed Kodak Theatre

Expect the night's big winners to show up to talk with Winfrey -- but, this year, she's enlisted her friend Nate Berkus to give her viewers some behind-the-scenes footage -- of what took place backstage at the Oscars as soon as the winners get their gold statuettes -- and reality star/style guru Carson Kressley will chat about who are the best dressed stars.

'The Oprah Winfrey Show: From the Kodak Theatre: Oprah's Annual After-Oscar Party 2010' will air March 8. Check your local listings for time.
