Diana Ross: Singing the Blues Over Property Taxes

It appears Diana Ross' finances may be 'Upside Down' due to her current discord with property taxes on her Greenwich, Connecticut residence.

The legendary music icon's attorney, Melissa Klauberg, recently told the town's Board of Assessment Appeals that Ross' $7.3 mansion is overvalued by the town at $14.4 million, stating that it hasn't been renovated in over 30 years, according to published reports.

Klauberg, who attended the Board of Assessment Appeals meeting on March 4, asserted to the five board members that it's unreasonable to stand up in the attic of the 12,562-square-foot mansion. "It's nothing spectacular," Klauberg said. "Would you want to get into the house?"

The Academy Award nominated star of 'Lady Sings the Blues' wants the town to lower the excellent grading of the interior of her estate in addition to lowering the value on the four acres of vacant land she owns on her neighboring waterfront.

According to various reports Ross is not asking for a specific amount to be taken off the assessment of the mansion, which is currently at 70 percent of full market value.
