'American Idol' finalist Tamyra Gray and her husband are expecting her first child in July.

The former H&M spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly, "I'm just trying to take care of myself and enjoy it."

The 30 year-old singer, who wants her baby's sex to be a secret, added that her pregnancy is "way harder than 'Idol.'"

She is married to former Color Me Badd singer Sam Watters. The couple wed in 2006.

Gray, who appeared on Broadway in 'Bombay Dreams' and 'Rent,' appeared on the first season of the hit Fox series. Since her noteworthy appearance on 'Idol,' she kept close ties to the series by penning 'Idol' winner Fantasia Barrino's hit single 'I Believe,' as well as as a song on Kelly Clarkson's debut album called 'You Thought Wrong.'

The Georgia native has transitioned into acting. In 2003, she had a recurring role on 'Boston Public' and followed that up with a starring role in the 2005 independent film 'The Gospel,' which starred Idris Elba. Most recently, she appeared in the critically-acclaimed film 'Rachel's Getting Married,' which earned Anne Hathaway an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.

Gray continue to record new music and is currently recording her as-yet-untitled sophomore album.
