Keyshia Cole got an earful from a New Jersey judge on March 25.
The 'Let It Go' singer, who just gave birth to a baby boy on March 2, was sued by an event promoter who claims she was paid $15,000 up front and blew off an appearance in 2006.
In a written opinion, the judge told the BET reality show star that her testimony was "confused and at times nonsensical."
The judge added that Cole was so reluctant to read certain documents while testifying, "that it appears at times that she was not literate."
The 28 year-old Oakland native lost the case and was ordered to pay $160,000 in damages.
In addition to planning her upcoming wedding to her fiancé and the father of her baby, Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson, Cole is set to release her fourth studio album later this year.

How can anyone say whether the Judge was right or wrong, without having heard and/or seen the testimony that Keyshia Cole gave?! Granted, when we hear from Keyshia she doesn't sound unintelligent or without her faculties, but speaking correctly during interviews and on TV shows is a lot different than reading legal documents.

thanks for making sense Andre. you couldn't be more right about something like this. it is good to know that there are people who can say "reserve judgement without the facts." I hope the people in your life benefit from and appreciate a skill like that.

I agree with andre and Kheru even the most intelligent people have lawyers or advisors to help with legal terms that are used in CERTAIN documentation. After a while it does start to sound like blah blah bla bla bla blah. So I don't think she lacks intelligence maybe a lack focus on her scheduling due to career and trying to get a personal life, which she now has. Congrats on the baby Keisha!

Keyshia Cole maybe a good singer, but she was not too smart when she failed honor the contract. Now Keyshia is going to learn a little math;15,000 is less than 160,000
