Face it. That's the cute version from The Color Purple; a performance which had more importance on the scale of values than anything the two nite-show hosts have earned. It was the breakthrough point up and beyond the improv-career of comedy, that proved her acting chops and put her in the same caliber as the two actors she sequentially married before retiring from that vocation. Unless, she is just on hiatus?

Ok...I was watching when she said that, and i must admit, i kind of cringed. I mean hell, who wants to pick cotton!!!!....Nobody wants to pick cotton. We all know what picking cotton connotes. But being a comedian, it just wasn't a good joke. But you have to think about it, for $40 million dollars would you pick cotton???......think about it.....$40 millionnnnnnnn... maybeeeeeee!!!...It aint like you have to take your clothes off or have to have sex with some nasty stranger....lol....I think she could have said something else, but it was Whoopi, not thinking and just clowning like a comedian.

What is the big deal? She is right.
Whether you are black, white, yellow or red,you will happily pick cotton today for $40 Million. What she is talking about is slavery by choice which is okay. We are free to choose that. Slavery by force has been abolished long time ago and is over.
Now even for twenty dollars people will suck a d--k. It is slavery by choice not by force. What is the big deal.
