Grammy-winning singer Alicia Keys is rumored to be pregnant. The New York-bred singer has been involved in a headline-grabbing relationship with hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz since 2008.
Keys has been criticized for breaking up Beatz' marriage to R&B singer Mashonda, with whom the producer has a 3-year-old son. (Beatz and Mashonda's divorce was just finalized yesterday.)
BV Buzz first heard rumblings of Keys being pregnant when a reputable entertainment executive attempted to secure the 'No One' singer for an event this fall and was told that Keys would not be available because she was pregnant.Additional pregnancy rumors circulated online and were published by several celebrity tabloids, yet both Keys and Beatz have remained quiet.
Now photos of the Clive Davis protégé from her tour stop in Europe have surfaced, and it appears that Keys has a baby bump in the pictures.
The 29-year-old singer is scheduled to be one of the headliners at the 2010 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans in July. If Keys is pregnant, she'll need additional camouflaging to hide a baby bump by then.
Many believe that the "home wrecker" allegations have negatively affected Keys' record sales.
Despite five radio singles – among them 'Put it in a Love Song,' featuring Beyonce, and 'Empire State of Mind,' featuring Jay-Z – Keys' latest CD, 'The Element of Freedom,' has only sold 1.2 million copies since its release in December.
Comparatively speaking, her 2001 debut CD 'Songs in A Minor' sold 6.2 million copies; 2003's 'Diary of Alicia Keys' sold 4.4 million copies; and 2007's 'As I Am' sold 3 million copies.
Its suspected that Keys' core fan base, mainly African-America women, have not purchased the CD because it appears she broke up Beatz' marriage.
BV Buzz contacted Keys' publicist, who would not comment on our story.

Wow!!! I hope this is not true! I used to really respect Alicia Keys for her positive message and female empowerment...however, my level of respect for her has been diminished quite a bit.
I know there is a "shortage of good men" but honey, don't you realize that if he'll cheat with you, he'll cheat on you. I know there had to be trouble that led up to the divorce between he and his wife. Alicia may have been a distraction, but not the reason. It takes two to make and break a marriage. But seriously....if it's worth doing, it's worth doing RIGHT!! Alicia should have at least waited until the ink was dry, dang! All she did was make herself look desperate.
It seems like all of that self worth she sings was just words to music and not at all the soundtrack by which she's lived. I hope she is not pregnant. Remember: He loved her at one time or another.....he did marry her. If he could/would walk away from his wife and child...what makes her think he's going to stay with her and she'd just be his baby mama? Does she not know that she's worthy of respect and love?

I agree that alicia should have waited until the ink was dry , I wish her all the best in motherhood. but as far as the man is concerned it will not last , there is a saying that concerns married men and their mistresses, " how you met him is how you will loose him". I will NEVER buy or support A. K music again , I hope her decisions hit her in her pocket hard !!!!!!

The irony is, that when she first came on to the music scene, she stated that she went through a series of want to be managers and producers and these men that were supposed to be boosting her career was trying to "get in her pants". So she decided to just wait until it was her season, so she wouldn't have to deal with all of that drama.
So many young ladies look up to her, I am not a huge fan, but I do like her.
It's just sad that she will more than likely lose her fan base over some BS.

A Whore is a Whore.
It's about character and integrity....if true, she has niether.
I always wonderd why we never heard about her romantic life over the years. And I wonderd if that big guy she's always with was security or boyfriend.
Anyone know who else she has been with?
She had my highest respect for her percieved classy behavior.
And don't give me a Whoopi, "They All Dooz It".

I am 1 of thos AfrAm ladie who did not bu TEOF bc of AK dating a married man. She calls herself a Superwoman but is fvcking a married man! Not cool. The right thing would have been for AK to wait for Swizz to at least file for legal separation, he didnt do that until AFTER word broke that he was dating AK. I change the station when her songs come on. It is even hard for me to listen ot her old songs.

I didn't buy her cd because I wasn't feeling her music this time around. I love her other cds & I love to hear her sing but I couldn't spend my money on songs like "put it in a love song" and "try sleeping with a broken heart". I hope Alicia Keys gets back in the studio and comes back with fire!

I hope she fails miserably. shes a dumb slut, overrated anyhow. I guess she's better off on her back legs up in the air banging a married man. she'd probably be better off making a sex tape than that crap she calls music...

If it is true that Alicia Keys is pregnant, congrats to her and Swizz beatz. As far as her breaking up his marraige, I have not heard from her yet on that situation, I tend not to believe that being that Alicia has always been a classy and respectful person, it has to be more to that story imo.
