Queen Latifah is one of the few hip-hop artists to become a Hollywood superstar.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper, whose real name is Dana Elaine Owens, has not only starred in her own television sitcom, but has also made a name for herself on the big screen, most notably in her Academy Award-nominated performance as Matron Mama Morton in the blockbuster movie musical 'Chicago.'
At 40, the New Jersey native has amassed success as a businesswoman, actress, singer, rapper and spokeswoman and won countless awards, including a Golden Globe, a Grammy, an NAACP Image Award and a SAG award.
Here, Blackvoices.com takes a look at Queen Latifah: Through the Years.

I would love to have the opportunity to meet Queen Latifah one day. I love what she stands for and what she represents. She appears to be beautiful not only on the outside but inside as well. I think she is such a positive role model for our young ladies today. What a wonderful example of a smart african american woman!!

Despite the fact that Queen Latifah is both black and a lesbian, neither of which I'm fan of... (oh and FAT)
Queen Latifah is actually pretty interesting.

YOU SEEM TO HAVE A LOT OF NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON SOMEONE YOU SAY YOU DON'T CARE FOR. HOW DO YOU KNOW SHE'S A LESBIAN? ARE YOU ASSUMING LIKE EVERYONE ELSE BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T COMMENT ON HER PERSONAL LIFE? THAT'S HER BUSINESS. REGARDLESS TO WHO SHE DATES OR WHAT SEX SHE PREFER, SHE'S DOING HER THING: SHE'S SUCCESSFUL AT EVERYTHING SHE'S INVOLVED IN AND DOES A GREAT JOB REPRESENTING BLACK WOMEN (NOT BAD FOR SOMEONE WHO'S BLACK AND FAT, HUH?) GET A LIFE.

It must be nice to have such an ego for judging people. Is it? jajaja Life is just filled, isn't it.
