Aside from the usual rappers, no one represents Brooklyn, New York more than Spike Lee.
The New York City borough has been the subject of several of his films, including 'Crooklyn' and 'Do the Right Thing,' and now he's paying homage to his hometown in a unique way.
The Academy Award-nominated filmmaker has teamed with Absolute Vodka to design the fourth city-inspired bottle of the popular spirit.Lee created a bottle that shows a colorful depiction of the cornerstone of the Brooklyn community complete with a stoop similar to the one that Lee grew up on.
He's added nicknames on the steps of the stoop and a line from Brooklynite L
emon Anderson's 'Love Letter to Brooklyn' poem. Also, Lee adds his signature 'Spiked' baseball cap and glasses to Absolut founder Lars Olsson Smith's signature seal on the $24.99 bottle. Fifty thousand dollars of the profits from the sale of Absolut Brooklyn will go to Habitat for Humanity in New York City in an effort to give back to the Brooklyn community.
Lee has also created a t-shirt with visual strategist Fuse Green, which will be sold at Brooklyn Industries, and celebrates Brooklyn Stoop Life. Proceeds from the sale of the shirts will also benefit Habitat for Humanity.
There will also be Absolut Brooklyn happy hours at Brooklyn Industries throughout the summer and at area bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Wow. What a way to uplift black people. Endorsing liquor. But he says Tyler Perry is a sell- out. How can you say a man is a sell- out for creatively placing God and faith as his message to empower our people and yet your promoting alcohol which has broken up numerous homes over time? Someone please help me understand this one.
