Michael Ealy, who's done his fair share of TV series, from Showtime's 'Sleeper Cell' to ABC's 'Flashforward,' has now been added to the cast of CBS's hit drama 'The Good Wife,.

The show stars Julianna Margulies, Christine Baranski and Josh Charles.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Ealy will play Derrick Bond, head of the Washington, D.C., firm merging with the floundering Lockhart & Gardner.

Derrick is described as a "casual, soft-spoken attorney whose egalitarian beliefs seem at odds with Will and Diane's self-serving practices. However, under his pleasant and unassuming exterior, he has a steel-trap mind and can outmaneuver his most cunning adversaries and associates. Deeply impressed with Alicia's quiet competence, he becomes her newest mentor."

Ealy is set to appear in at least 10 episodes of the show's upcoming second season.

'The Good Wife' was recently nominated for nine Emmy Awards, including best drama series.

The Maryland native's next big-screen role is the upcoming action-packed film 'Takers,' which also stars Idris Elba, Chris Brown, Matt Dillon, T.I., Jay Hernandez, and Zoë Saldaña.
