It looks like the mainstream media and the blogosphere has gotten it wrong once again.
After much scuttlebutt last week about Alicia Keys getting married to Swizz Beatz in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in the Caribbean – of all places -- it appears that that just wasn't true.
The 12-time Grammy Award winner, who is in her second trimester of her first pregnancy with the hip-hop super-producer, wasn't anywhere but New York this weekend. Instead, she was out in the Hamptons enclave of New York with a well-heeled crowd at the 11th Annual Art For Life Benefit held at Russell Simmons' East Hampton estate.
Sponsored by Bombay Sapphire, the event drew out boldfaced names such as Deepak Chopra, Maxwell, Selita Ebanks, Donna Karan, Tommy Mottola, Rev. Run, Todd English, Tracy Mourning, Chris Bosh, Anthony Anderson and John Legend, to name a few.
According to an attendee, Keys came out to support her future baby's daddy, who was being honored for his work with the Bronx Charter School for the Arts, which is a public elementary school founded on the principle that arts education is a catalyst for the academic and social success of all students.
Every year Art for Life honors an individual based on their contribution to the arts and philanthropy. The insider said that the 'Karma' singer was ducking behind the red carpet to avoid talking to the press and later spent the rest of the night camped out keeping a low profile at a table.
Unfortunately for her, Simmons – who is the Grand Daddy of Hip Hop – is a paparazzi magnet. And there's not denying any flashing bulbs when he comes over to you (as seen in the photo above.)
And as far as the proposed wedding that some outlets were reporting to happen this weekend, Beatz (real name Kaseem Dean) clarified, earlier, that it won't happen, just yet.
"The wedding is not this week," he told People magazine, referring to details that the two were set to get hitched aboard a yacht in the Caribbean. "People are very creative [with gossip], but it's cool. We have fun with this stuff. [The rumors are that] we're taking a boat to do this and we're like, 'Man, who's paying for that?'"

"Typical Petty Women"...LMAO, over half of you women posting negative about Alicia, either already dealt with a no-good MALE or presently dealing with a no-good MALE...so, STOP tryin to act all high n mighty talking negatively about Alisha. Most likely ALL of you are baby mamas and knew that when you were laying on your backs creating these kids that the MALE you were lying down with WASNT worth the time of the day, so stop throwing stones and look around your home at what you are getting ready to sleep with tonight. PEACE!

This is corny, Alicia Keys is very corny,The hit "Unbreakable" should have been called "Unbreakable until I break you up" these type of situations really shows a persons' strength and Alicia has proved to be pretty weak, even if the relationship was rocky she sure added confusion by needing a wet spot in her bed and sure signs of desperation. If he was feeling me like that then he would have had to handle his home first. I mean really ladies has it gotten that bad out there? I personally do not mind if my husband does not wears his wedding band,he even said it seems that he gets more attention when he is wearing it, there is something about a man that can show committment that attracts homewreckers! Oh well, hope she is believing all those songs that she performs *I USE TO LOVE HER*

Bad enough 'messing' with the man while he's still married, but to get pregnant BEFORE he could even get a divorced????
I don't know y'all.
Better take heed from your song:'Karma'.
