Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Angie Stone delighted the sold-out audience during the eighth annual 'Hoodie Awards' at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino last weekend.

Blackvoices.com caught up to the "Godmother of Neo-Soul" backstage, where the Columbia, S.C., native talked candidly about her staying power, connectivity to male and female fans, Steve Harvey's philanthropy and her current and future projects.
