Attending a Broadway show has traditionally been an expensive New York outing.

But, the new revival of Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning play 'Driving Miss Daisy,' which stars legendary Tony Award-winning actor James Earl Jones (pictured with his son Flynn Earl Jones and wife Cecilia Hart Jones), is hoping to attract a new audience for the beloved show.

Today, producers Jed Bernstein and Adam Zotovich announced a new Student Section which will reserve $47.50 rear-mezzanine seats for every show to students in an effort to encourage a new generation of theater-goers. Ticket prices in that area usually go for $66.50.At 79, Jones, who last appeared on The Great White Way in the all-black ensemble of Tennessee Williams' drama 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,' couldn't be happier about attracting more young people to see his new show.

"It is a joy to be performing this important play on Broadway, and it gratifies us tremendously to see the many young faces in the audience," he said in a statement.

"Anything that can be done to further expose this work to a new generation, I support!"

Students who are interested in seeing the 'Driving Miss Daisy' should arrive at the Golden Theatre (located at 252 West 45th Street in New York City) the day of the show and must show student IDs.

To enhance the student experience, there is an in-depth, interactive Driving Miss Daisy study guide available online at www.broadwaystudyguides.com.

The 16-week limited engagement of 'Driving Miss Daisy,' which also stars Tony Award-winners Vanessa Redgrave and Boyd Gaines, will have its official opening night Oct.25.
