LisaRaye's TV One Show Gets A Second Season

TV One announced at the Television Critics Association's winter tour presentation that actress LisaRaye McCoy's top-rated reality series would be getting a second season. 'LisaRaye: The Real McCoy' follows the former first lady of Turks and Caicos as she resurrects her acting career, works on getting an alimony settlement from her ex-husband and raises her daughter.

The show debuted this past April and became the network's most watched series premiere, drawing over one million viewers.

TV One, who will kick off its first scripted series 'Love That Girl' starring Tatyana Ali on Jan.10 also announced that their popular documentary series 'Unsung' and 'Life After' will return in 2011, as well.

Twelve new episodes of 'Unsung,' which highlights the lives of underappreciated musicians, were ordered and ten new episodes of the behind-the-scenes of life after fame series, titled 'Life After' were ordered. TV One Senior Vice President of Original Programming, Toni Judkins, said that both shows will air this summer.

The African-American cable network also has plans to air a three-week primetime special 'Way Black When' highlighting Black pop culture across the decades of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s and hosted by Sinbad, Niecy Nash and Christopher 'Kid' Reid. 'Way Black When' will debut on Jan.31.

Also of note at the TCA presentation, TV Land announced that their 9th Annual TV Land Awards will honor Bill Cosby and the entire cast of 'The Cosby Show' will receive this year's Impact Award. Cosby, Phylicia Rashad, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Sabrina Le Beauf, Tempestt Bledsoe, Keisha Knight Pulliam, Raven Symone, and even Lisa Bonet, are confirmed to attend the award show, which will tape in New York City in April 2011,
