Steve Harvey took to his nationally syndicated radio show yesterday to address salacious allegations that his ex-wife, Mary Shackelford, posted via YouTube. In her videos Shackelford claims that the King of Comedy was a serial cheater who left her for his current wife, Marjorie Bridges Harvey.
Since their 2005 divorce, Shackelford claimed that she now has nothing, as Harvey also has full custody of their 15-year-old son, Wynton.
Now, the New York Times best-selling author's current wife has retained an attorney to fight the allegations that she was the other woman, something that she said has left her both "shocked and dismayed."
Marjorie is pursuing a lawsuit against Shackelford.
"As a wife and a mother, I cannot stand back and allow the defamation of my character or actions that will malign my family," the philanthropist said in a statement released through her attorney C. Anthony Mulrain, exclusively released to BlackVoices.com.
"So, I will do what I need to do to the greatest extent of the law."
Shackelford claimed she found e-mails and text messages between her 'Family Feud' talk show host ex-husband and Marjorie and that after she expressed a desire to get a divorce, he left and fled to New York City to be with Marjorie.
"The part that's hurtful in this is my wife and children had to be drugged [sic] into this," a frustrated Harvey said on-air. "If you're going to be vindictive go ahead and aim it at me, but my son is coming in the room crying and that's also her son, so why would you do this?"

The current Mrs. Harvey, who called the three viral videos "malicious and baseless," stated that "the posting is nothing more than a sad attempt by Mary to make herself relevant in the eyes of the media."
Marjorie is looking forward to making her case in court.
As previously reported, Shackelford said her ex-spouse is currently suing her in Texas, which is why she is now speaking up.

Marjorie has been urged to not personally respond to allegations to avoid being held in contempt of the court.

This is starting to sound fishy ok Steve address this on his Radio show to millions of listeners about his personal business and now his current wife is speaking out ?
Ok now why are they doing the Tag Team thing ? Steve needs to tell his wife look I need you to be quiet and let me handle all this. I got us in this mess and I dont want you all up in it just support me from the background. I need to clear my name and yours ? so I got this.
No matter if she bitter or not it sounds like his Ex- may got some truth juice on how he treated her and he does not want anybody to know..... Hummmm ???

@djkut I respectfully disagree with some of your comment. Only because I have been victim of a bitter spouse. And it was shocking to me because to me men normally don't get into all the slandering a womens name. But he has and we are still married. But I am working on getting out of the abusive marriage. I believe what Mary went through, but I don't agree with her coming out to youtube about it is the right way to express her hurt. I saw the videos and she sounds intelligent, sound mind and truthful. I really think she is jealous because Steve is getting very large in this life. I recently saw a pic of him and Marjorie in Aspen Christmas shopping. You know if the pic is out there for the world to see, mary saw it too. Not just the picture but like I said Steve is Large right now. Books,Shows and more shows, she is pissed. I would be too if I started out with you and we were struggling to get to gigs and I had your back, going without so you can come up, and I dont get to reap the benefits I would be pissed too. But Mary is out of line not to consider her son her children. Steve has always been honest that he wasn't the best husband so he really aint trying to hide anything. I listen to his radio showw faithfully and I heard numerous interviews he has never claimed to been faithful in his previous marriage, but he just don't constantly talk about it like its news worthy. Get over it and move on. I have been cheated on by my husband and I had to cry, get angry and get over it. In that order! And as far and Marjorie she need sue Mary if what Mary is saying isn't true about her,but if she was Steve mistress at the time he was married to Mary I agree with you she should let Steve handle it then. Peace;love and life!

It's easy to see why Steve cheated on, and eventually left his former wife. Hell, look at the difference!..lol...lol It's literally a case of "night and day"! My question is why was he with something that looked liked that in the first place? Unbelievable!

Of course there is some truth to what the former Mrs. Harvey is stating. That is why Steve wanted a gag order. But the Mistress Wife Marjorie needs to re-examine her decision to file a law suit. Simply put if you are messing with a married man it is not only Adultery but that you are a Mistress. And I hope she didn't fall for the oldest married man line in the book, "My wife and I are together but we are not together." Give me a break, weakest line in the book. Probably the only reason she wants to file a law suit is because she is embarrassed and her children now know their mother is a home wrecker. It was her that convinced Steve to take his son from his mother. (See video on http://ballerwives.com) Yes, it can be done if you have the money. All his attorney/s had to prove was that he could provide for his son financially, a better living environment, and a quality education. How dare she….and now she wants to sue for defamation of character? What character?

I agree with Mary, I believe she is trying to move on in spite of the low down dirty way Steve did her, if he were a decent man he would not have left that woman they way did, with nothing, not even a relationship with her son. If he wanted Mary to keep her mouth shut he should have made her happy. She deserves something if not a 3rd. I can never look at Steve as a stand-up man because he didn't take care of Mary. I just needed to say that thanks for your posting. If I were Marjorie I would have insisted that he do this woman right, look what Mary was losing, a marriage, son, income. I bet Steve's coward arse would never consider suing Oprah. Oprah has the right to select whomever she pleases since her name on the network. I mean I could not believe what he did to Mary and she does have my support as a woman and mother. This is just not right and I believe every word she is saying. Now his other jumpoffs should jump up. I don't get why he didn't marry Marjorie all those years ago, he didn't have to marry Mary. Who is the biggest fool Marjorie or Steve? I just don't want anything that bad. He should have done right by Mary. Oprah must have none he was a sham otherwise I guess he would have a slot on her network. E-mail if you want to continue.

Thank you she needs to step back because she know how a man will lie when he is trying to get with you with the " I am not happy , It's been over for years, We don't sleep in the same room". Now I live in Los Angeles and I seen on the morning news as the police was putting her and that little boy out because of forcloser. He calls his self a man? He is on the radio so everyone gets to hear what he has to say but I know what I seen with my own eyes and that 1,000 dollars he was giving her a month for child support was to pay bills buy food and keep that house going to. New wife sit down because you were not there you are going by his words.
