Thandie Newton has revealed that she has come to terms with a traumatic relationship with a film director 23 years her senior who she claims took advantage of her innocence as a teenager.
She spoke about her six-year affair with director John Duigan which she began when she was 16 after travelling to Australia to audition for his film 'Flirting,' which starred Nicole Kidman.
The Bafta-winning actress has said the relationship left her feeling 'self-destructive' and said she has only spoken about it 'so teenagers can see they can resist and gain self-awareness'.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, Miss Newton, 38, star of 'Mission: Impossible II', 'The Pursuit of Happyness,' and 'Rock 'n Rolla,' claims Duigan took advantage of her when she was vulnerable.

I could understand if at 16 yrs old she had a flink from being taken advantage of but to stay in a relationship until 22 yrs old give me a damn brake! She probable pissed because he dump her after taking all the goodies until tiring of her and now she feel used.

Can anyone say young skeezer? OK baby girl, here's a chance at justice and redemption. Your were a minor and the laws of pedophelia are retroactive! If you were so devastated and taken advantage of, why not press charges? The catholic priest felt the sting of long ago assaults on people.

At the age of 16 females actress's know the deal, she new the deal and after year's having sex with this man she really knew the deal.
The sex was problemly good too her so she kept doing it up, know joke intended.
Why talk about it now it is over, she is a pretty good actress, "keep your mouth closed", keep making movies's if anyone will give you a script.
I really enjoy seeing her perform, now I know she can perform.
I have always been told what "you do in the dark will come to the light", the light is on.
