"I'm not talking about the history of black people, of African Americans. I'm talking about at this point right now... I don't know of organizations and groups like Focus on the Family and such anti-gay organizations who are putting up so much money – millions and millions of dollars – into stopping me from, you know, being black or telling me I can't exercise my blackness. There's no equality. There's no equality for the LGBT community."
-- Stand-up comedienne and actress Wanda Sykes opens up on facing adversity in the gay community. (Piers Morgan Tonight)

AMEN! AMEN!One more time AMEN!! I couldn't have said this better myself!! My dad who is 77 years old would tell me stories of what is was like to be a black man in the 50's and 60's. I don't see gays having to use a gay only bathroom, all gays having to sit at the back of the bus, not being served at resturants etc, you can see where I am heading! My dad was treated less than a man and it still affects him even to this day!! For gays to say that being gay is equal to being black needs to call and talk to my dad and let him break it down!!

no matter what anyone says and any ideas that are out their. what matters really is what "GOD" thinks about the world and where we are all going in the END. and the BIBLE says that Sodom and Gamorha was destroyed because of there "SIN" practices. and that was lawlessness including Homosexuality and Lesbianism GOD loves all of us but hate our sin practices. Wanda is so dead wrong and she will be judged one day by the ONE True GOD in the END.and she will be very sorry for her stand to except the SIN practices of Homosexuals.all sin is no good. and we as people are held responsible for our actions. GOD does love the HOMOSEXUAL but hates HOMOSEXUALITY. and therefore we must Repent. that is why Jesus came and also said "EXCEPT YOU REPENT YOU WILL LIKE WISE PERISH. make no mistake about it. GOD bless YOU ALL.

most people who are married and have children know that the law of nature rules in there home. a husband has his wife and they have their children. simple. now take another child from another family and take your son and have them go into the next room and let them have sex with one another. ask yourself "HOW DO I FEEL ABOUT WHAT JUST HAPPENED" by nature you will no that it is inappropriate for the two to have sex at such a young age and let alone two males. you know bye nature "GOD GIVEN" that it is not natural. a good father would love to have his son by nature get married and have grandchildren and .it is in GOD's Design. we joke about it now and unfortunately it is among us but I pray for everyone including Gays because I am sure it is something that is not easy. guaranteed that pornography and sexual misconduct watching pornography has about 90% to do with why people are that way today. Gay is the Perversion of GOD's Natural order of things. Jesus can saves You if you turn to him and ask Him to help you and save you from this cancer. sorry but it is . slowly killing off America. we all need to pray and go back to the basics. and repent. GOD will be back soon. I remember when the Word Gay meant Happy. now it means Lesbian and Homosexual. wow how things have changed since then.remember Jesus Loves You.

I don't know how it's possibly harder to be gay than it is to be black. As a black woman I can sympathize with the hatred she's experiencing, but no one knows that your gay unless you tell them. Normal straight people don't go around telling the world who they like to have sex with or who they're attracted to physically. Who you like to get down with straight or gay is no one's business. Now you're mad because you put your business in the streets and there's a backlash. People are always going to have something to say and as a black person you should know that. There's a big difference between being black which is obvious to the physical eye and being judged for it, and being gay and making a public announcement to the world who may or may have not known. You brought this on yourself.

It amazes me when the topic of homosexuality comes up everyone wants to grab their bibles and quotes scriptures.
There are scriptures in the bible that pertain fornication, alcohol and other foreign items going in and on your body (tattoos),eating unclean meats/seafood, going to church on the Sabbath which btw is Saturday, not Sunday, adultery, etc. However, I never see anyone quoting the bible when it comes to any of the above. We, as people are so funny, we can preach our point when it comes to someone else's sin, but quiet as a church mouse when our sin becomes the topic. Peace!

The thing that Wanda wants is acceptance but most gay people have to realize that most people will not accept their lifestyle choices.
They shouldn't be necessarily beat up for it but please, they are not discriminated. Gay people have the right to buy homes, get jobs, go to college like everyone else.
I think Gays need to stop saying discrimination, I would just say it is just dislikes. Ga

I have co-workers that are gay and I talk to them all the time. I’m ok with them being gay. One was telling me about her girlfriend being in a car accident and not able to work. She wanted to add the girlfriend on to her insurance through work but the insurance will not approve it. We live in Nebraska and it’s not yet legal here to get married. They can drive to Iowa and do it there. The point is she was saying we should protest about the rights of gays in the work place. She was reading the rights of all employees on the bulletin board. She asked me would I help her. I told her I love her but I’m not losing my job over her and her beliefs. I don’t have anything to do with what they believe. Love my friends but I don’t want to be pushed in this. I try to be open minded about this whole thing and at the same time I don’t want to hear about it.

One thing i wld like to know is how come we, the people of the US did not get a chance to vote on the issue of Same sex marrage. It seems like the Government just decided on their own. I could be wrong but that is what it looks like to me.
