The fallout from Tracy Morgan's homophobic rant continued to play out on Saturday, as several celebrities and Hollywood titans issued statements and took to Twitter to debate free speech vs. hate speech in the context of the comments the comedian made at a standup show on June 3rd in Nashville.
After "30 Rock" executive producer Tina Fey condemned Morgan's remarks on Friday, Cheyenne Jackson, an openly gay actor who plays Danny on "30 Rock," issued a statement to Out Magazine saying that he was "disgusted" by Morgan's words.
"I am disgusted and appalled by Tracy Morgan's homophobic rant," he said. "The devastating repercussions of hate-filled language manifest in very real ways for today's LGBTQ youth. I've known Tracy for two years, spent many long hours with him on set, and I want to believe that this behavior is not at the core of who he is. I'm incredibly disappointed by his actions, and hope that his apology is sincere."
Alec Baldwin, another "30 Rock" co-star, simply acknowledged the scandal Friday with a tweet that said, "Oh that Tracy," but said a bit more on Saturday, seeming to disapprove of his remarks by writing, "No one's making excuses for Tracy."

stated over and over again, Tracey Morgan is a comedian. This means his mouth is an open platform for any and everything to come out of his mouth so what he said should not have been shocking to anyone. Parents say they'll kill their kids all the time....if they catch them having sex..if they found out they are selling drugs, etc. Anyone with common sense knows its a figure of speech. As a parent, it indicates a strong dislike of the act or action that is against their morals, values, and beliefs that they don't want their children engaging in. Although Tracey Morgan is a comedian, he is a parent and obviously he does not want HIS child to be involved in the gay lifestyle for whatever reason. He has that right. Notice, I did say he was talking about HIS child, not Wanda Sykes, Cheyenne Jackson or anyone else. And if he wants to say that, he can. I'm sure Wanda Sykes and other comedians say a lot of things on stage regarding their beliefs and some of it not even liked by others. I"m also sure that if and/or when she and Cheyenne have kids, they will teach them what they value and believe as any parent does. Of course it doesn't always mean the kids will grow up with those same values,,,just look at how some of us turned out LOL
The bottom line is that I don't believe Tracey is hating on gay people at all and gay people need to stop playing the victim card all the time. He was just expressing his preference for what he wants and does not want for his child in a humorous way. Do we all have to agree or like it? Certainly not. In today's society, Wanda Sykes and other openly gay people indirectly express/indicate their sexual preference every time they walk out the door with their partners. Should we beat them down every time we see it or they openly talk about it? A lot of people may not agree with it, but it is what it is and so it is with Tracey Morgan.

I know people will not feel I'm right, but, I think ALL this is Karma.. The woman who thought she was going to marry him and loved him enough to GIVE HIM HER KINDEY.. HE DUMPED HER after the surgery and when he got back on his feet. ( If I mis spelled anything I pre apologize, But KARMA IS A (B) !! ;0)
I knew something was gonna come around..I just didn't know How What or Where...

Political correctness and hypersensitivity is all but tearing our country apart. It's getting to the point where you cannot say anything without offending one segment of people somewhere. For Gods sake people it was a joke maybe in bad taste but a joke. I have heard all sort of poeple say things that they may or may not mean are we going to start public whippings everytime someone says something distastful? He has to keep his money rollin in so he apologized. I wish he would have kept it real and told everyone "just jokes" instead of caving in under pressure everytime an entertianer goes mainstream they sell their souls to corporate bureaucrats who are nothing but hypocrites themselves. Finally I am fed up with people and all these false apologys anyway say what you mean and mean what you say. Americians have become so spineless it is sickening. You cannot please everyone all the time anyway.

What in the hell are you even talking about? Sure his comments were inappropriate at best. Still, Hollywood is talking about blacklisting him. Seriously you support this? Blacklisting (peep the root word) is partly why civil rights legislation was enacted in the first place. I get into more depth about this on my radio show: ANGRY BLACK MAN RADIO on Spreaker.com.

He's a comedian.is he supposed to be politically correct?is he going to offend people ..yes.his job is to make jokes and some of his material is going to offend people.because he said what he said does'nt make bigotry any worse or any better.And i wish people would stop comparing blacks to gays.we were enslaved for 400 years..if its to hard to be gay then keep it in the closet.if my great grandmother could have turned herself white in order to keep from getting raped by her master im sure she would of.
