Last week photos surfaced of Nia Long's baby belly, and it has now been revealed that basketball player Ime Udoka is the father to the actress's second child.
The two appear to be an item and Long, 40, told People how happy she and Udoka, 33, are to have a child together. "This is the most exciting time in our lives," Long told the magazine. "Words can't explain how thrilled we are by the new addition to our family. We feel truly blessed and appreciate all the well wishes and prayers."
Udoka has played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trailblazers, Sacramento Kings and most recently the San Antonio Spurs. The baby will be his first and is due this fall.

Hey Pink, There's a 70 percent OUT OF WEDLOCK BITHRATE ALREADY. That AINT Nia's fault. So I really don't see what the problem is. At least these two can AFFORD to raise a baby which is more that we can say about the other 69.9%.

I don't care if Ms. Long is pregnant nor by who ever. That's her personal biz. As long as she's healthy and her baby, that's all that's relevant here.
My thing is wondering why we get so caught up in what's happening in some a,b,or even c list entertainer or atheletes' lives.
We want to know who they are sleeping with or alledgedly sleeping with, who's pregnant and by who,how much money they spend on whatever,etc.,etc.,on and on ad nauseum.
This prurient interest(and yes too many of us have this "affliction"),in these peoples' lives, need to
stop and focus on more important life and societal issues of the day.
This "side-tracking" of our interest is part of the "dumbing down" of America. Some of our kids can give us the lyrics of the top 5 songs, but can't tell you the capitol of the state they live in. Some of them are constantly texting, but can't diagram a sentence.
Some adults are no different. They can tell you facts about their favorite actor/actress,but can't
carry-on a discussion on say health-care reform,
social security cutbacks, gas prices,or cutbacks in education?
Keep this focus in the wrong place, and when it comes to you personally, it will be TOO LATE!

This is not hating at all and why is a woman of any wedlock status consider a new addition to her family. This woman was hanging out with DeWayne Wade of the Miami Heat's team until he came to his senses to fight for his boys and he did a smart thing. It seems she kept hunting for a basketball player for supplement income because its not any steady work in Hollywood and she has turned 40 and other pretty Black women on the Hollywood scene without weaves and has natural beauty and youth.Maybe, all the baby mammas should callup BET or Ebony and on Mother's Day be represented on your precious bundle of joy and a special section for the jungle fevers that are catching these inexperience ballplayers and winning the lottery ticket of big payoffs for the baby.Basketball mom's stop this craziness and its not cute when adults are doing what we are telling teenagers to don't get pregnant and wait for marriage.Double-Triple standards.NBA should have a standard for professional players that has no control on dropping seed in many women and having three and six babies out of wedlock esp in the Black ethnic race.

Ms Ann, Nia Long never dated DeWayne Wade. Wade is connected to actress Gabrielle Union.

@Marion-Why don't you ask Black Media those questions? I don't see water cooler topics as hate (which is a childish high school word)! The topics you list can get VERY heated. I do agree though I noticed very few people in my office even read a newspaper, Black Enterprise (Great job on CNN Mr. Edmonds!), CNBC etc. News is too depressing.
We had this conversation in my office when you see kids spread this far apart it's usually because someone doesn't have kids and want some. I don't see how this is a story either......more baby mamas!
You right because I luv me some Denzel and I prefer to discuss his latest project over the depressing news anyday but at least I do read the news! Exhale hahahahaha

Very good Clarke. Don't forget, when Aubrey said: My daughter isn't Black... It seems Halle thinks otherwise... Oh well... I agree with your comments Clarke...

THANKS, Janeyre, I knew sombody with some sense would come along and feel me. Those FOOLS that want to blame a woman that established her career and waited till she was good and grown before having a baby sound like just that, FOOLS. As if a 70% out of wedlock birthrate is Nia Longs fault. At least us taxpayers won't have to pay to raise HER children, THANK GOD. Have a blessed day J. PEACE.
