Trial alert! On July 12th, the best comedy in Los Angeles will not be heard at the Improv, but rather a federal court as the Wayans brothers face down a former assistant who charges that Keenen, Shawn and Marlon ripped off jokes for their book, 'You Know You're a Golddigger When...' Jared Edwards worked for the comedy family for a decade and wrote jokes about women who prey upon wealthy men. He claims he pitched the idea for book that would include material like "You know you're a golddigger when you know more about sports players' stats than an ESPN analyst."

Then my St. Louis mom needs to sue me because my buds in the military used to crack up some of the stuff I said from her quotes. "If you got a sucka..lick it!" of "Stop sh@ stirring!" I bet Cedric and Nellyville are saying "Amen! St. Louis moms say some funny sh@!"
This guy sounds jealous the Wayans are more successful. I actually think he might be telling the truth because people naturally trade jokes, stories etc. but sue someone behind it sounds petty and jealous.

They need to find a new source for their jokes. If the wayans stole the jokes from this guy, then, they all owe the public money. I have yet to hear a funny joke made by the wayans family!

No they are not funny. The comedy they do would be funny for the 80’s time but now it’s not good. I have watched their shows and they don’t make me crack up at all. Maybe a smile if anything. My wife and kids, the Waynes Brothers show, and some of their movies like major payne just are not that funny. It’s corny comedy.

@ Ally: while the subject is the law suit, I will agree that Marlon started off as not as good looking as the others, and has surpassed them on looks over the years to the present..love him. and for the other person who stated that the Wayan's are not funny: untrue. They are some funny brothers...

Anybody who has watched the Wayans brothers for years knows they don't need to steal jokes! I'd like to see them in court though, I wonder if Benita Butrell and Ms Jenkins will be there!
