Spike Lee is not feeling the love from Hollywood's money men. "I haven't made a feature film in three years," said Lee. Lee has lately focused on documentary work with two films about post-Katrina New Orleans for HBO. But he had designs on biopics about Jackie Robinson – the Brooklyn Dodgers slugger who broke baseball's color line – and soul icon James Brown. And he was in discussions a while back for a sequel to thriller Inside Man, which starred Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster. But he's been unable to secure financing.

Thats the same thing I said. Quit looking at the heck somebody doing in their LANE, and focus on finding money for Inside Man, which happens to be one of my favorite movies. He running his mouth bumping his gums on somebody who is putting out movies 2 times a year. Tyler stays in his lane, and to those who dont like it. GOOD WE DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOU BEING IN TYLER'S LANE...DO YOU!! People dont get it, when you spit on somebody, it comes back in their own face. Show some love, or be quiet Spike!!

I'm from the Q..and I said the same thing too. You could not have said it better. A lot of people are not happy with Hollywood, he aint the only one. If only he would shut up and just do the dang thang, he would be making movies right now. He needs to taake a page from Tyler's book for goodness sake and stop bitchin' and moanin'!!!

Ya know! I was just going to say the same thing. Maybe it's karma Spike. So busy being negative and nasty about what Tyler Perry is doing instead of trying to ask a brotha to finance his film!! Bet Tyler has a few spare dollars he would be willing to invest in someone who wasn't such a mean-spirited person trying to act all holier than thou!

I dont Spike Lee at all sometimes all this constant Sambo's in some Tyler Perry movies neesa to be call out, as soon as Tyler starts too or ever think about making a more educational movie on Blacks, watch Hollywood throw his ass to the wolves too. Like Chuck D of Public Enemy would say "Burn hollywood Burn !"
"Malcolm X" was one of his greatest movies he has done along with "Miracle of St. Anna" and half of these folks talking about he is hating on Tyler have not even bother to even watch the movies because if they watch them movies they may have a different perspective.
All they know is a bunch of drama with Madea and "this is your grand daddy mess !!!"

thank god somebody had the courage to speak about that particular point putting it on the line...every since that comment printed for all to know that we as a people will not give vice credit to where knowing when to draw finally on at least :knowing when too stop jumping the broom now, it's getting kind of old, especially back to only what we all viewed "ROOT".....that and many more aspects starts to rot like every other living tissue not knowing when to die, it does begin to creat an unwanted smell now......time to put that dyer way to thinking too rest now....
