From Clutch:
After much speculation, rumor and Internet innuendo, Fantasia recently announced that she was pregnant with her second child.
The announcement came as the former American Idol singer was performing at the opening of the Riverview Apartments in Jacksonville, FL (Why she was there? I have no idea).

Well at least these women have money to take care of these children, not like "octo mom" on the county draining public assistance dry. Also many women validate these idols,it makes them feel good about themselves and their out of wed lock kids.

To all you people hollering "leave her alone!" First off she is a celebrity...this is the price of fame(and all that money)Your life is lived out in front of the public....2nd yeah shes dumb but she just happens to be a celebrity. Alicia Keyes...yep dumb too and how the media is kinda one sided in all this is wrong but stop justifiying Fantasia's issue by name dropping all the women in hollywood. Bottom line with that lawsuit she couldve lost it all (AGAIN because from what I took from her reality show she made some awful money decisions)over some sheisty cat...yeah yall keep defending her and while you at defend these young woman out there making the same dumb ass mistake..only they dont have a GOD given voice and fame to help cushion them from the downfall.... nice people

This is to Shannan Clewis, I can see that you do not acknowledge God by what you are saying to Fantasia; God does not agree w/someone intentionally having babies w/out being married, why do you think she hid her pregnancy? maybe because she felt convicty...or she thought it would interfer w/her singing career. But whatever the case is, it's all in God's hands; just curious, but not judging...

Ok so Fantasia is pregnant I am sure she can afford another child....so whats the problem? She made a decision and I wish her the best. She is not on Public Assistance, she is not asking any of you to support her child so...you are upset because? We as people always want to throw negative out there...why you better be worried about the next election and get you busy bodies learning about government...thats what will effect you and your families

No, you are judging! We all know that God does not condone having babies out of wedlock, but if you look closely at yourself, he also does not condone judging other people. We all need to let God pass judgement on Fantasia. He may not condone fornication and a whole lot of things but Fantasia knows Jesus, and he allows us to confess our sins and he Will cleanse all unrighteousness! (1 John 1:9).

I have read a lot of the comments on this subject and wanted to weigh in too. I have found an overwhelming cry from many that are saying “don’t judge Fantasia!”. I do not agree. “The idea that we have to dumb down all standards of morality for fear of being guilty of judging others seems to be a sad state of affairs.” Most people, who don’t agree with her being pregnant AGAIN & out of wedlock, are not being judgmental. It’s too many impressionable young people being influenced by celebrities, light skinned or dark skinned, to live lives contrary to what God has ordained. We all want the financial rewards fame brings but being rich does not make your sin okay. When entertainers or anyone else in your direct circle who you look up to do things outside the will of God, if you are not prayed up, saved and mature in your walk with Christ, you will allow what “they” do influence you to do the same. Fantasia is a celebrity so her business is out there. She wouldn’t worry what people said if she didn’t know already she was wrong. That means her spirit is being convicted because in the depths of her soul, the Christian seeds sown in her life before we knew her are making her uncomfortable about the decisions she’s made. She came from the depths of poverty as a single mother only to be raised up & thrust into wealth beyond her wildest dreams, all with the talent/gift God gave her. Every talented singer won’t get that opportunity. When you have the mic, you have the ability to influence a generation, so one should be careful how they live their lives, if not for others at least to stay in God’s will. I am disappointed in Fantasia’s recent choices with Antwuan & now another pregnancy out of wedlock, whether this is the 2nd, 3rd or 4th pregnancy. Just because her finances can accommodate another child, doesn’t make it right. It’s still not God’s will. Life is hard enough, so why go against what God says to not do??! She came from the church so we expect better from her & if no one holds any of us accountable who will?! To speak against the unwed mother having another pregnancy is not done on my part at least to harm her spirit but up uphold the moral standards that I as a Christian believe. I have not made the same decisions she has in life because I believe that there are blessings for me if I manage to stay obedient to God’s will. It will never be easy but I think it will be worth it. If nothing else, hopefully a young lady or teen going through a relationship where they feel pressure to do what they shouldn’t will get some encouragement to think 2x and do God’s will. Adultery and fornication are not God’s will and if we trust him like we say we do, and then we would strive for better. I wish Tasia Mae the best and hope that soon she will walk in God’s anointing. I do believe that if he allowed this to manifest, he will get the glory and his will shall be done.
