Returning hosts Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard dazzled on the red carpet.

'Soul Train,' the long-running syndicated black music showcase known as the hippest trip in America, has long been known for its soulful music and lively dancing, but who could forget the show's funky trend-setting fashion?

That was definitely the theme at last night's taping of the 2010 'Soul Train Awards' show in Atlanta. Celebrities from across the industry flooded the purple carpet at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in looks that ranged from fresh and sophisticated to glittery, over-the-top ensembles.

El Debarge and Faith Evans performed their new duet 'Lay With You' while walking through a new millennium version of the ubiquitous Soul Train Line.

On the red carpet, budding Def Jam diva Chrisette Michele made heads turn by wearing a turban-style head wrap that had more sequins than the 1960s. Freddie Jackson, on the other hand, didn't mind wearing all white after Labor Day on this warm fall evening.

Other attendees included Melanie Fiona, Doug E . Fresh, Sean Garrett, Tamia, Janelle Monae, Goapele, Rick Ross, Raven-Symone, Rachelle Ferrell, Dionne Farris, Lalah Hathaway, Tank, Dwele, SWV, Kem, Biz Markie, Steve Harvey, Jazmine Sullivan, Barbie and Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas, along with honored guests Ron Isley and Anita Baker. Of course, BET's head honcho, Miss Debra Lee, was also in attendance.

Although there were plenty of guests dressed to the nines, there were also some that could have used a bit more work -- or possibly a new stylist. That's for you to be the judge.

The 2010 'Soul Train Awards' doesn't air until Nov. 28, but until then check out the good, the bad and the mu-fugly fashion looks from last night's purple carpet.

It looks like we'll be adding Eric and DeShawn Snow to the long list of celebrities calling it quits.

According to Access Atlanta, the former NBA player filed for divorce on Wednesday. He and his soon-to-be ex, who appeared on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,' would've celebrated their 13-year anniversary in July.

The college sweethearts -- who had been together since their freshman year -- are separated with "no hope of reconciliation," according to court papers. The two celebrated their 10th anniversary three years ago by renewing their vows in a lavish ceremony in Atlanta.

Despite being linked for years to Kim Porter, the mother of his children, as well as to his rumored sidepiece, Cassie, Sean "Diddy" Combs recently opened up during an interview with 'Extra,' telling the celebrity news show that he has yet to find the "one."

"As far as me and marriage and finding true love, I haven't found that," says Diddy.

After two failed public relationships -- one with Jennifer Lopez -- the notorious bachelor and 'Get Me to the Greek' star appears to be pretty skeptical of the institution of marriage. Diddy is a father many times over, with six children by three women (five biological and one adopted), but he has yet to make the leap to husbandom.

"The whole thing of marriage has been, to me, abused. It's something that looks good for the tabloids. You make $2 million selling your wedding pictures, and it makes you look cool to your girlfriends or guy friends. But are you happy inside?"

Looks like D. Wade isn't the only one feeling the heat from divorce.
Mega-producer Swizz Beatz's divorce may have been finalized two weeks ago, but it appears that the drama between him and ex-wife Mashonda Dean is far from over. According to the New York Post, Dean recently took legal action against her ex-husband claiming he owes her $344,000 in back payments.

"I so much wanted both of us to get on with our lives and maintain our respect for one another, but he now shows that his priorities and sense of responsibility are screwed up," said Dean.
