Will another rapper bite the judiciary dust?
It doesn't appear so.
While earlier today, hip-hop vixen Remy Ma got the book thrown at her and was found guilty in a New York City courtroom – for assault, down south in Atlanta, rap kingpin T.I. met a better fate.
Though – on the books – both were deemed "guilty" of their various charges, Remy Ma was found guilty, and T.I. pleaded guilty.
According to published reports, the 'American Gangster' star will receive a sentence that includes prison time after he completes a period of community service. In the year that he is awaiting sentencing, the Atlanta-bred bad boy must complete at least 1,000 hours of a total 1,500 hours of community service, talking to youth groups about the pitfalls of guns, gangs and drugs.Dressed in a gray business suit, the Grammy Award winning Atlantic Records dapper rapper (real name: Clifford Harris) told the judge he understood the terms of the agreement. He pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of machine guns and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Who was he trying to assassinate?
For allegedly trying to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers, T.I. faced a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count. He initially pleaded not guilty, and has been under house arrest since he was released on $3 million bond on Oct. 26.
Wow wee.
Officials also said after completing the community service he will be sentenced to serve about 12 months in prison. His prison time could be increased or reduced, depending on his fulfillment of the terms of the deal and good behavior, they said.
Hmmmm.

STOP THE PRESSES! ANOTHER PUNK ASS THUG RAPPER IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW. Must be pretty frustrating to read the news and see just how bad the behavior is of prominent members of the back community. Time to celebrate the CONTRIBUTORS to the world, not the ones who represent the AF community so poorly.

Maybe I'm speaking off the cuff...but TI is talented ambitious brother who could spend his efforts in other areas making money and hiring a security team.

Did the article state how much money changed hands to get a reduced sentence? A convicted felon is not suppose to have a water pistol and this guy had machine guns. Does this light sentence send a message to another convict that it is OK to have this grenade launcher becuase I am going to get community service?Kinda reminds me of two dead men and a famous football player in the ATL. Pay a fee and you become free to play in the SuperBowl.

Do US soldiers have machine guns? I only had a M-16. How does a Rapper get machine guns and the Army does not? Maybe the Soldiers should start Rapping.

Respect the justice systems, don't hate. A lot of people get breaks. No man escape the all seeing eye of God. Let's pray that he's learned a lesson. Remember crime has no race, color, or social group.

These rappers need to do some time and then come out and tell our kids the truth; that it is not "cool". These fools have convinced our children to try to live the images that they create in their songs and it is destroying our kids. Some of these so called rappers have not even lived the life they sing about and don't allow their own children to live the life or have contact with it but continue to lead our children down that path for the almighty buck. I hope all of these fools go to jail and to some hard time so our can stop idolizing them.
I'll bet no one will have to tell them keep their pants up in jail.

The person who made the first comment is probably some white boy who goes around acting like brothers but who hates us so much because he wasn't born with the natural swagger so he has to immediately put on a mask as soon as he wakes up each morning or maybe it's another one of our tired bitter sisters (not all of them are) who hates every brother she meets because of a few bad experinces.Either way you sad sad child.Oh yeah and inspite of the mistakes some of our brothers and sisters make things are getting so much better for those of us who know who we are.Mistakes and all

Whatlooks like a thug, must be a thug. Send the rapper from the streets to Iraq and let him try to be cool over there. There are some brothers over there, but not near enough. This would be the perfect sentence if he likes guns and action.
It's time these creeps that can bail out for 3 mil stop corrupting our children with their no talent selves. Rap is not music. Where's the lerics? Where's the message.....Kill, beat, hurt, crackers are to use...I'm sick of it all...send them to Liberia to rap to their own people.

yo you say that rappers have no talent, but you are thinking just of "mainstream" music. take a listen and here some of the underground songs, alot of them have a positive message, or messages about love and loss. you obviously don't know what you are talking about... sure some mainstream rappers are sending the wrong message to children and others, but take a listen to some of the other songs.. such as YESTERDAY by Atmosphere and you will be blown away by the lyrics.
personally, i think that T.I. made some idiotic dissions, along with several other rappers, but look at the rockers or other famous stars. most of them have influence on drugs. such as the song yellow submarine, the whole song is based on the bands trip on "Ether."
